Job Vacancy Announcement: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Food Department Government of Sindh
Location: Karachi
The Food Department, Government of Sindh, is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Interested applicants are invited to apply and participate in interviews to be held on specific dates for each position.
Position Details:
- Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Nature of Position: Contract-based (Two years for officers, termination or completion of contract with one-month notice period applicable in both cases)
- Scale: MP-III
- BPS: 19
- Age: 40 – 65 years
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Senior positions as Chief Auditor/Director Audit in public sector organizations or eight years of experience in an audit firm (recognized by ICAP) along with a Master’s degree preferably in CA or Public Finance.
- Or 4 years of experience as Chief Auditor/Director Audit Out in an audit firm along with a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance.

Selected government servants can either opt for early retirement or resign from their current position. However, they shall retain the right to continue service in their old cadre/department before joining the new position. Participation in GP Fund, Benevolent Fund, Group Insurance, etc., will not be allowed, and they will not be entitled to the mentioned benefits.
Employees serving under the Sindh Management Position Skills Policy 2022 will not be eligible for financial assistance in case of family, employee death, or pensionable employment.
